El Teatro Heckscher, at El Museo del Barrio

The project involved restoring and preserving a 600-seat historic theater (formerly the Heckscher Children’s Theater) and its landmarked murals by the late Hungarian illustrator Willy Pogany. The work included water infiltration repairs, interior finish restoration, mural preservation, existing stage sound and lighting system upgrades, stage replacement, and a hydraulic lift orchestra pit/stage extension platform.
